You may have heard that recently an orca (or "killer") whale at Sea World in Orlando, Florida killed one of its trainers by dragging them from the pool deck into the water. It's not the first time an orca in captivity has killed a human, and I suspect it probably won't be the last, but this particular incident has raised several questions regarding the animal's intentions.
Some people speculate that the animal was just attempting to play, and that it did not understand that a human cannot hold their breath under water like a whale can. While others believe it may have been an intentional action, or even a premeditated murder.
I'm sure this is an interesting topic in the scientific community, and although tragic, is probably inspiring many biological and psychological studies, but that isn't really the point is it? Joe Rogan (yeah, that Joe Rogan) put it perfectly on twitter the other day.

I'm not trying to disrepect the dead trainer, but does no one remember Free Willy (or King Kong or Jurassic Park 3)? You can't keep 5+ ton whales in tiny pools without some kind of repercussion.
Read up on orcas a little bit and you'll understand. They are considered apex predators and some experts even believe that their intelligence equals our own (hell, your average orca is probably smarter than most of the dumb shits I encounter on a daily basis).
Humanity continues to disappoint me.
